One of the prime tools in my kit that I have been using for a number of years now is a little program called, “colorpic” by Iconico.

Being colour blind has its disadvantages as you can well imagine, but with colorpic, I am able to do an exact colour match when duplicating an existing design to matching a colour sample provided by a client via email.

With such features as noted below, you cannot go wrong and the best part is it is FREE

• Easily pick any color from the screen
Colors shown in hex and decimal
• Adjust Hue, Saturation, Value, Red, Green and Blue values
Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black percentages shown
• Overlay a grid for quick colorpicker alignment
• Save multiple palettes of colors automatically
Snap to nearest WebSafe color
• Point sample, 3×3 or 5×5 pixel color sampling
• Adjust color with four advanced color mixers
• Works with Firefox, Internet Explorer, Photoshop and any other application

You can download colorpic at Iconico
